(WLNF) Once Upon a Time…
6Once a upon a time, there lived a little girl with a kind heart.
She loved walking and would take long strolls in the forest.
The little girl was fascinated with the sights along her merry journey and would often stop to stare in wonder at the beauty of a simple flower.
One day, she encountered a strange creature who was crying out, “Someone help! Would someone please help my poor poor brother!”
Without little hesitation, the little girl reached out to offer a helping hand to the distressed creature.
“What’s wrong dear sir?” asked the little girl.
“My brother! He has been attacked by the evil bear of this forest! Please save him!” replied the panicked cardboard creature.
The little girl looked into the distance and saw a gruesome bear attacking an even bigger cardboard creature.
The bear was relentless in his attacks, pinning the defenseless cardboard creature to the ground.
Whipping out her secret weapons, the little girl rushed forth and pushed away the vicious bear with all her might.
The bear was overpowered by the power of the little girls twin leek attack and fell in defeat.
With a mighty kick, the little girl gave the horrid bear a shove that sent it down a fatal slope.
Down and down the defeated bear rolled…
… while the little girl and cardboard creatures cheered.
“Oh lovely savior! You have saved my life! How may I thank thee?” gushed the rescued cardboard creature.
“You can be my friend! And take long walks with me!” offered the lonely little girl.
And thus a new friendship blossomed.
Between a girl, and a cardboard man.
Little did the innocent young girl know… that she had fallen prey to a nefarious plan.
The whole incident was just a hoax!
The bloodied bear was just a tool, paid off easily with the promise of food.
And the real danger lurked within the cardboard man!

Dcal says: I’m giving up on naming my post (Dailybits)… it’s not true any longer. >_< I keep going on hiatus for longer periods at a time, with little posting done. I would have continued to sit on my butt doing nothing if not for comrade Kodomut who literally dragged a whole bunch of WLNFers out into the sun for some figure action. Thanks to “Training with KODOMUT”, I finally got some photos taken of the new recruits from my rapidly growing Revoltech army. Gotten thank HimeBel for the cute face that I fitted Kodo’s custom Nendo Saber with. Also, much love to my dear Technie for getting me Woody, who is just so awesome with THAT face.

Been busy with work and a trip out of the country to Taiwan lately (where I picked up some great lootz). So until I work up some enthusiasm to do something with my new toys, here are some photographs from the past that I have been hoarding for a rainy day (literally, because it is really raining today =D).
Featured in this post are my beloved Revoltech figures, with some special cameo appearances from Suzuki-san and more. These pictures were taken during the SOY event at the beginning of this year. =) And it is one of those rare moments where I had a photoshoot under the sun. =P
Here we have the usual suspects lined up, looking absolutely adorable in their respective slots.
Aika-chan joins them for a group shot…
… and falls prey to Toro’s chikan behaviour.

Thankfully Suzuki-san is around to teach cheeky Toro-chan a lesson.
Kuro-chan debates on whether to help out his friend…
… but gets kidnapped by the lovely Lien-chan before he could do anything.
Kuro finally manages to escape!
But ends up in some weird cosplay thing.
Along with Toro-chan who has become a mecha musume~!!
As the morning goes on… the Revoltech crew gets a chance to enjoy nature…

(Dailybits) Bang Table, Bang Chair

“Bang Table Bang Chair” is a Singaporean/Singlish way of saying “kicking up a fuss”. So what we have here is Kuro-san trying to be a difficult student.
This image is from a series of photographs that was taken to be used in a school project. =) I’ll post the full range of pictures when I have time.

I guess Toro-chan’s expression says it all. =) I never expected to feature Revoltech figurines on Berribunz Studio, or rather, I never thought I would be showcasing any figure other then Nendos (and the occasional Figma or Azone doll). But on my recent trip to Japan, which I keep procrastinating to blog about, I discovered the Doko Demo Issyo figurines and have fallen in love with them since.
According to Wiki-san:
- Toro Inoue (井上トロ?) — a white cat which is the main character of Mainichi Issho. Birthday: may 6th. Blood type: A. His dream: To become a human being one day.[5]
- Kuro (クロ?) — a black cat , Toro’s best friend and a rival. He first appeared in the series on the PlayStation 2 episode.
- Jun Mihara (三原ジュン?) — an American-Japanese rose rabbit and a friend of the main character. Birthday: august 28th. Blood type: O. Favourite meal: curry and ramen. Skill: 2nd rank karaoke.[6]
- R-Suzuki (R・スズキ?) — a four-face metallic robot and a friend of Toro. Birthday: September 13. He has a very strange blood type: TYPE B5W-40.[7]
- Ricky (リッキー?) — a green frog and Toro’s friend. Name origin is unknown.Birthday: 4 January. Blood type: AB.
- Pierre Yamamoto (山本ピエール?) — a French-Japanese brown dog which is a francophile and a friend of Toro. Birthday: November 14. Blood type: A.[9]
There are six figures from the series but I only wanted three out of the six:

Jun-chan was the one that made me start the series. Who can resist that adorable face?! But Jun also wins because he/she comes with a tonne of accessories and is easy to pose. =)
Toro: Hey!! I can be cute too! *sad*
Okay… I have to admit that Toro-chan is uber cute too. =) Unfortunately, he is white and it makes handling him tricky as I have to make sure that he doesn’t turn into Kuro-chan anytime soon after been manhandled by my grubby hands.
Kuro: I don’t do 萌え.
Compared to the others, Kuro-chan is a limited figurine and I only happened to chance upon him somewhere in the midst of Ueno. Lucky~!!
I didn’t get Pierre or Ricky because I didn’t like really like their face options. Plus, I was facing a luggage crisis so I gave them a miss. ^^” As for Suzuki-san, he’s was adopted by Nyanko-sempai. So hop over to his blog to see if he will ever posts pics of the figure. =D
On an unrelated note, there will be an unofficial WLNF outing tomorrow as we crash SOY’B.
